The Power of Prayer By Billy Brown - Jan. 2010
Prayer is our most powerful weapon against satan and his army. When we pray, we speak to God directly and satan hates that relationship that we have with the Creator of all, including himself.
Prayer opens the door for God to come into our lives; infact prayer beckons Him to enter.
Prayer lets God know that we can't do it without Him, that we cannot accomplish anything with our own strength and by our own means. Prayer humbles us at Gods feet. God will not answer us if we don't ask. You see, we serve a very jealous God. A God who likes to be reminded that we depend on Him, that our very survival is in His hands.
As I was Walking Alone, I tried winning many battles with my own strength and many times I seemed to have prevailed. I now see that without Gods hand in our battles, we can only provide a "quick fix" victory so to speak, but never a complete one. We can never be truly delivered without God as the commanding officer in our battles, and the only way to ask God to take command is through prayer and prayer alone.
I have an uncle who recently had to have his second open heart surgery. Infact, after his first one over 18 years ago, the doctors had said that he only had 4 years to live. So, you can imagine what they said this time. The odds were not good! This incident forced us all, all of his family to turn to the One who we knew had the healing power to turn these odds around. We all turned to God and put all our Faith and trust in Him and we all prayed for a miracle. We all believed that God would provide that miracle. We believed it with our whole being. Well, within a week, my uncle was back to taking walks and cracking jokes!
I am totally convinced that if it wasn't for a bunch of believers, believing in God to answer our prayers and knowing that He could and would, this would have turned out different!
This story represents the power of prayer.
What you just read was an excerpt from Billy Brown's book; Tried Walking Alone, which is coming out next year.
Getting Older Doesn't Always Mean You're Growing Older …
Throughout my entire life I have had this overwhelming urge to succeed, but to do it in a way that actually helped and empowered others in some way.
There have been so many different phases of my life. There has been much happiness and success as well as many storms, pain and failure.
As I look back at the "storms" in my life, As I re-examine my past, I find that many of those storms were nobodies fault but my own. Yes, of course we can always blame it on youth and eagerness to live this life too fast. Many times we can blame it on our choice of friends and finding out that we are really surrounded by strangers who we thought were friends. We can always blame it on just plain bad luck.. But the truth remains.
As I get older, more aware of the world around me, it truly amazes me to see others getting older also; getting older physically that is, but not emotionally and spiritually. It amazes me to see these individuals still trapped in the past, afraid of truth. Because of this they try wholeheartedly to trap us there with them. They don't grow, they don't mature, they never forgive, … they just get older…
I am growing! I am learning to understand rather than immediately judge or be judged. I continue to thank God daily for my memory of past misfortune. I thank him daily for pulling me through the "storms" of my life, for pulling me across the bridges I have burned. And I thank God for putting forgiveness in my heart, and truth in my mind. I know that everything that has happened in my life, the happiness yes, but especially the "storms"; all this has molded me into the man I am today.
It is not the "things" that happen in our lives that are significant, but it is what we do and who we become because of these "things" that matter..
Now, I see all the good we do. When I see that child who has NO self-confidence becoming EMPOWERED. When I see that once overweight mother of two who was heading to a heart attack, who hasn't smiled in years, now with a new look of happiness on her face. When I see that 16 year old rape victim, who was thinking of suicide, now walking around with self-esteem, confidence and self-forgiveness. All this because of the seeds WE have planted! This is when it all hits me and tears fill my eyes. This is when I really thank God for putting me where I am today. This is when I really thank God for not allowing me to become one of those individuals that are getting older but not really growing at all.
So, as we go through another holiday season, as we all get older and eat a lot of turkey…. I ask you to take a look back at your life, the sunny days and the dark nights. Have those dark nights molded you into the person you are today, or have they helped to defeat you? Do you harbor un-forgiveness in your heart? Do the lies that others tell about you bring you down? Have you had that overwhelming urge to succeed and make a difference?
Have you GROWN this past year, …or just got a little older?
We Wish You All A Happy and Blessed Holiday Season,
Billy Brown and the P.M.A.T.S. Team
A Friend Loveth In All Times By Guro Billy Brown- May/June 2008
As I get older, wiser and more aware of the world around me. As I start to understand people better, to see myself more clearly. As I go through the "Storms" of Life and experience my share of defeats, but yet, by the grace of God still able to reach the Victories. I learn a few "Golden" rules along the way.
The following is one of those rules. One that I learned the hard and painful way. But now that I know it, now that I have experienced it. I have grown to appreciate love more than ever before.
A Friend Loveth In ALL Times - Proverbs 17:17
3 Kinds Of People
1. The Users: These people will reach for your strengths but carefully avoid your weaknesses. When trouble hits, they will distance themselves FAST. We must not be resentful towards them; they are not necessarily bad, their just insecure and self-serving.
2. The Cautious: These are the majority. When trouble and hard times come, they will wait to see if you get out of it. And even then they will keep their options open. Before they decide to accept you again, they will wait to see if anyone else does. We must love them, but not rely on them. We must not build our life around them. - Pauls Says: "Know Them Which Labour Among You." - 1 Th 5:12
3. The Committed: These are the ones Solomon talked about in Proverbs 17:17. A brother is born for adversity. You see, in the good times our friends know us, in the bad we know our friends. If we have just a few of these "Committed" people in our life, then we are truly blessed. These people will stand by you "in ALL times." They're not just strong in FAITH, they're strong in the FIGHT! They're born for adversity. We MUST protect these relationships as without them, we cannot reach our God-given Destiny!
It is easy to get to the top of the "Mountain", but it's hard to stay there. When we fall, we tend to see very quickly whom our TRUE friends are. I think God for the times I have fallen, as these times have taught me who to take with me on my journey back to the TOP, and who to leave behind.

Summer Storms by Jerry Ousley ---- Sept/Oct.
Crash! B-b-b-b-oom! Then the rushing sound of a torrential downpour comes. These are the sounds of summer storms. They can blow up in an instant during a bright, sunny day. Sometimes they bring much needed rain and sometimes they bring disaster. The one thing they have in common is that they end.
My son and I had gone to a ball game at Cincinnati one summer. When he was younger we tried at least once a year to go and see the "Reds" play. This particular time we had decided to make a day of it, going early enough to stay a few hours at the zoo, then, after a casual lunch go to the ball park early and get our seats before the crowd got there.
It was hot. If I remember correctly when we got to the ballpark the temperature was around 102 degrees! But we "weathered" the heat and finally got to our seats. I don't remember much about the game except that as it went on, the sky in the distance was getting darker and darker. By the time the game ended the storm was almost on top of us.
We hurried as fast as we could to get to the car. We had borrowed my Dad's car, a 1991 Geo Metro. It was great on gas but we were soon to discover something else about it. We got to the edge of the parking lot and the rain began. Actually it was more like the city of Cincinnati had decided to pour out an entire water tower over the stadium. And so we ran drenched to the car.
We sat there for several minutes hoping that the rain would stop but it didn't. By the time we made the nerve-wracking trip through Cincinnati and got to Lawrenceburg, Indiana we were worn out from fighting traffic, trying to see in the rain and spectacular lightning, and we were ready to stop! We found out that the little car floated. As we drove through the torrential rain we could actually feel the car lift to the top of the water on the road, especially if we were going too fast.
The rain did finally end and the lightning stopped except for occasional flashes in the distance. Everything was strangely calm after the storm. It reminded me of the time Jesus calmed the storm. When all with Him in the boat thought that death was surely eminent, He stood, said, "Peace! Be still," and the terrible storm was done (see Mark 4:37-39).
It also reminded me of how "storms" come to us in life at the most in-opportune times. We don't need that extra tension and trouble but it comes anyway. As surely as we can't stop the rain and the lightning, we can't stop the "storms of life" either. At best we can only hold on tight and ride them out.
But just like in the storm with the disciples, if we know Jesus as our personal Savior, He will do one of two things for us. He will either calm the storm, or calm us. We can get through these things. In fact as a believer, the Bible tells us that all things work for our good (to those called according to His purpose see Romans 8:28).
So when the rain falls in life and the wind howls remember our Savior. He will get us through and it will work out for the best one way or another. Jesus is even Master of Summer Storms.

This Holiday Season, Lets Remember To Give Thanks Where It's Due! - Nov./Dec. 2007
As we go into this Holiday Season, let's remember to give thanks, where it's due.
Every one of us, we all have so much to thank God for, but sometimes we "live" this life to fast and we take alot for granted as we go around and around on the race track of life.
You see, life is one constant flow of motion and inside that HUGE flow of motion are smaller ones. Now, those smaller ones are what lead us into the situations, good and bad, that we all go through in our lives. How often do we miss, and "speed" by those little motions? Those little motions that lead into the big one.
Let me try to explain further.--- We are driving in our brand new car of life and all of a sudden we hit a roadblock and crash. What motions led up to that crash? What motions did we miss? Which motions, that if we would have reconized them as motions, would have prevented that crash?-- So, we get our car fixed and patched up and we get back out on the race track and soon we're speeding again, missing those motions! Each crash gets progressively harder and if we get into enough crashes, we finally realize that we're not very good drivers!!
I thank God for allowing me to see that I was not a very good driver. I thank God for allowing me to survive those crashes in which we ALL go through on this race track of life. And I thank God for providing me with the BEST Insurance Policy, where I know that if I get into a crash, even if it wasn't my fault, I know that I'll be pached up and back on that track in no time. But this time, I'll pay better attention to the motions!!
Lets See All Our Many Blessings This Holiday Season, Pay More Attention To The Motions, And Lets Give Thanks Where It's Due!! - Billy Brown
Hope May/June 2007
Introduction
"Hope" is so important to a human being, that when it is lost, people just lay down and die. William Frankel, the Father of Logotherapy, saw this truth while in a Nazi concentration camp. Those who lost all hope of ever getting out, died. Those who kept their hope and planned on what they would do when they got out, lived. When hope dies in the human heart, the mind and the will to live cease functioning. God has so created us that we must hope in order to live.
What holds for the individual also applies to a family and to a church. When people give up all hope that their family or church will succeed, that family or church will die. But as long as there is hope, there will be life. Thus faith, hope and love constitute the heartbeat of a person, a family and a church. Just as we would physically die without them, a church will spiritually die without them. The same applies to the spirit of a nation. If the "American dream," which is hope, ever dies, our nation will die.
I. The Meaning of "Hope"
A. Even though hope is often connected with faith and love, we must not confuse these three different things (I Cor. 13:13).
Hope: Concerns the Future (Rom. 8:23-24) Faith: Concerns the Past and Present (Rev. 1:5-6) Love: Concerns the Present (I Cor. 13)
B. While the modern meaning of the word "hope" implies uncertainty and merely wishing for something which may or may not happen, the Greek word used by the authors of the New Testament was a word which implied absolute certainty. There was no vagueness or uncertainty connected with this word. The New Testament meaning of the word "hope" is:
The inner attitude of joyful and confident expectation and anticipation that everything God has promised in His Word will come to pass.
1. "Inner Attitude:" The way of mentally viewing and responding to life.
2. "Joyful and Confident:" Positive, victorious, assured, inspires joy, stability, etc.
3. "Expectation and Anticipation:" Plan on it and enjoy it now by foretaste.
4. "That everything God has promised in His Word will come to pass:" What the Bible says about our future will happen.
II. The Attributes of Hope
TEXT THE ATTRIBUTES OF HOPE Heb. 7:19 A Better Hope I Pet. 1:3 A Living Hope Titus 2:13 A Blessed Hope I John 3:2-3 A Purifying Hope II Thess. 2:16 A Good Hope I Tim. 1:1 A Christ-Centered Hope Rom. 5:5 A Hope Which Does Not Disappoint Heb. 6:18 A Hope Set Before Us (In the Gospel) (Col. 1:23) Heb. 6:19 A Sure and Steadfast Anchor of the Soul I Cor. 13:13 An Abiding Hope
III. The Fruit of Hope
What does "hope" do for us in terms of practical living? Of what benefit is hope? How does it help us to live the Christian life?
A. Christian hope produces perseverance and steadfastness in the face of trials, tiredness and temptation (Rom. 4:18; I Thess. 1:3; II Thess. 2:16-17; Heb. 3:6; 6:7-12; 18-20; 10:23).
Why do people stop growing and going in the Christian life?
Answer -
Trials: Personal, family, church, financial, etc.
Tiredness: Physical, emotional, spiritual.
Temptation: To pursue personal pleasure, wealth, fame, acceptance of the world, etc.
Why should trials, tiredness or temptations affect us?
Answer- When we become "self-centered" and begin to dwell on present problems instead of dwelling on future blessings and build our security and joy around temporal objects or people, the grace of hope withers within us.
Since perseverance and steadfastness depend on a strong living hope in us in which our view of the future affects the way we respond to the present, a weakened hope will weaken our dedication to persevere in the Christian life.
WHAT IS THE GOAL OF LIFE ITSELF? FOR WHAT SHOULD I LIVE?
Answer- The Glory of God (I Cor. 10:31)
The development of Christ-like character qualities in my life (Rom. 8:29; Rom. 5:3- 5; James 1:2-4; II Pet. 1:3-9: Matt. 5:3- 16, etc.)
A. Hope is essential to the development of our character (Rom. 5:2-5). B. The fruit of the Spirit comes from hope (Joy, peace, faith: Rom. 15:13; Col. 1:4-5). C. The ability to rejoice in the midst of trials comes from hope (Rom. 5:2-3; 12:12; James 1:2). D. Boldness in our witness comes from hope (II Cor. 3:12; I Pet. 3:15). E. We should derive strong encouragement from our hope (Heb. 6:18). F. Hope is our helmet in the armor of God (I Thess. 5:8).
HOPE GIVES US THE POWER TO LIVE THE CHRISTIAN LIFE!!
IV. THE FOCUS OF HOPE
To what does hope look? Just as faith can focus on the past and love will focus on the present, hope should focus on the future.
THE FUTURE - Things yet Unseen and Experienced
OUR FUTURE BLESSINGS
A. Revelation (Rom. 8:19) B. Liberation (Rom. 8:19-21) C. Vindication (Rom. 8:23) D. Vivification (Rom. 8:23) 1. Our resurrection (Acts 23:6 24:15; 26:6-7) 2. Eternal Life (Titus 1:2; 3:7) E. Justification (Gal. 5:5; Phil. 3:9) F. Glorification (Col. 1:27; Rom. 8:30)
THE GLORIOUS RETURN OF CHRIST
V. THE BASIS OF OUR HOPES
Upon what do we base our hopes for the future? What are the grounds of our hope? Where is the warrant for our hope?
A. It is sadly possible to have ill-founded hopes (Matt. 7:21-23). Ill-founded hopes.
1. "A mere profession of faith is sufficient." 2. "My religious works will get me to Heaven." 3. "There is no need for a personal relationship with Christ." B. It is possible to have a firm and secure hope (Heb. 6:19). C. We must have our hopes on the following: 1. A reliable document: The Word of God, Scripture, the Gospel, (Col. 1:5,23; Tit. 1:2-3) the Word of Truth 2. A Historical Guarantee: Christ's resurrection (I Pet. 1:3,21; Acts 17:30-31).
VI. HOW TO INCREASE YOUR HOPE
A. Realize that God wants you to "overflow" with hope. There are degrees of hopefulness. We should strive to increase hope within us (Rom. 15:13). B. Recognize that all well-grounded hope comes from God. Thus you must look to the God from whom hope comes (Rom. 15:13). "The God of Hope." C. "O, God of Hope, make me to abound in hope. Increase the amount of hope within me."
D. In faith, ask God for the filling of the Spirit (Rom. 15:13). 1. "Fill you" (Aorist tense) an act of God, not a process. 2. "Joy and Peace:" Two of the "fruits" of "walking in the Spirit" i.e., being spirit filled (Gal. 5:16,22,25; Eph. 5:18). 3. "In Believing" (Present Infinitive)
A constant activity of exercising faith, not one act but an abiding activity.
4. "In order that you may overflow with hope"
"Overflow:" (Present Infinitive) A constant overflowing going on all the time. Not one act but a continuous experience.
5. "By the power of the Holy Spirit"
Instrumental clause telling us how we overflow with hope. By the power of the Spirit, we can have this experience.
E. As "Endurance" or "Perseverance" in the Christian life arise out of hope, your endurance of trials, tiredness and temptations will, in turn, give rise to more hope (Rom. 15:4).
"Through endurance...We might have hope."
1. Hope Endurance Hope Endurance Hope, etc. (Rom. 5:3). 2. "We might have hope" (Present active subjunctive)
Not just one infusion of hope, but a constant increasing of hope.
"We should be constantly having more hope."
F. To "Overflow" with hope, we must derive much encouragement from the Scriptures (Rom. 15:4).
What does "encouragement" mean?
To take someone aside to give them comfort, encouragement or consolation.
HOW CAN SCRIPTURE ENCOURAGE US?
By assuring us of God's faithfulness which does not depend on our faithfulness to Him (Heb. 13:3-6; I Thess. 5:24; II Thess. 3:3; I John 1:9).
II. By reminding us of man's fickleness - the best of saints had besetting sins which they never conquered. "All idols have clay feet." There is no such thing as "perfection," "victorious living," "total sanctification" in this life.
Abraham's Problem: Lying David's Problem: Lust Peter's Problem: Cowardice Paul's problem: Anger
Conclusion
Only Biblical Christianity can give us a well-grounded and secure hope concerning the future. Western culture has reaped untold benefits from the Scriptural hope that the good will triumph over the evil in the end; the wicked will be punished and the righteous vindicated and rewarded; that justice will triumph in the end.
The only alternative is the ugliness of existentialism which has the evil triumphing over the good; the wicked set free and the righteous destroyed. Hopelessness and despair are the only things which humanism offers us.
As Christians we know that we shall live "happily ever after." We look forward to a new earth wherein no evil shall dwell.
But the non-Christian does not have any well-grounded hopes for the future. He can look forward only to what Heb. 10:27,29,31; 12:29, describes.
We need a mighty Hope which enables us to face anything in this life, because we know what the life to come will bring. - Dr. Robert Morey www.FathDefenders.com
10 Guidelines From God Effective Immediately -- Jan. 2007
1. Quit Worrying: Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for you?
2. Put It On The List: No, not your list. Put it on my to-do list. Let me be the one to take care of the problem. I can't help you, until you turn it over to me! And although my to-do list is very long, I am after all... God! I can take care of anything you put into my hands. Infact, if the truth be known, I take care of a lot of things for you that you never even realize.
3. Trust Me: Once you've given your burdens to Me, quit trying to take them back! Trust Me. Have faith that I will take care of all your needs, problems and trials. Please, put it on My list. I want to help you. All you have to do is ask!
4. Leave It Alone: Don't wake up one morning and say, "Well, I'm feeling much stronger today, I think I can handle it from here." Why do you think your feeling stronger now? It's simple; you gave Me your burdens and I'm taking care of them. I! Also, I renew your strength and cover you in My peace. Leave them with Me and forget about them. Let Me do My job.
5. Talk To ME: I want you to forget a lot of things. Forget what has been making you crazy. Forget about the worry and stress and know that I'm in control. But, there is one thing I don't want you to forget. Please don't ever forget to talk to me - OFTEN! I love you! I want to hear your voice. I want you to include me in your life. Prayer is simply you having a conversation with Me. I want to be your closest friend.
6. Have Faith: I see a lot of things from up here that you can't see from where you are. Have faith in Me. Have faith in Me and trust that I know what I'm doing. Trust Me, you wouldn't want the view from My eyes. I will continue to care for you, watch over you and meet your needs. You only have to trust Me. I have much bigger task than you, yet it seems as if you have so much trouble just doing your part. How hard can trust be?
7. Share: You were taught to share when you were only a child. When did you forget? Share with those who are less fortunate than you. Share your joy with those who need encouragement. Share your laughter with those who haven't had any in a long time. Share your tears with those who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith with those who have none.
8. Be Patient: I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime that you could have so many diverse experiences. How can you be so impatient when it takes Me a little longer than you expect to handle something on My to-do list? Trust in My timing, for My timing is Perfect!
9.Be Kind: Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I do you. Please try to get along, for My sake. I created each of you differently in some way. It would be boring if you were all identical. Please, know I love each of your differences.
10. Love Yourself: As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself? You were created by me for one reason only - to be loved, and to love in return. I am a God of love. Love Me! Love your neighbors, but also love youself. You are very precious to me. Don't ever forget that!
Touch someone with your love. Don't focus on the thorns of life, smell the roses and count your many blessings! - Billy Brown
Finding True Victory -- December 2006
When I first thought about this article, I looked at the title "Victory", and began to search my own heart and mind for the "personal" meaning of victory for my life. The world about us gives us ever changing, but distinct signals about what it regards as "victory".
Many of our "older" teachers and coaches have tried the "world's" formula and found that we still felt like "losers" after gaining the very thing we strove so hard for.
At some point, most of us, (myself included) have come to the conclusion that we needed to allow "a power greater than ourselves" to help us define and achieve "victory" in our lives. Jesus said it this way, " what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, but lose his own soul". Heavy words indeed!!
I have learned that to gain some selfish "world-oriented objective" brings fleeting satisfaction. Most of the time, I am left wondering, what next, what else or SO WHAT!!!
The answer is this simple: TAKE CARE OF YOUR SOUL AND THE REST WILL FOLLOW.
Some of us struggle with feelings of inferiority that keep us trapped in trying to heal what's inside, by overcoming what's outside. But God is stronger and wiser that we are, He has His way(s) of bringing us to a point of seeking security for our souls. When we start down that path, things finally begin to make sense.
I personally need to take care of "first things first" EVERYDAY, or my life QUICKLY begins to spin out of control.
The Bible teaches us that we are "spiritual" beings with a physical essence, needs and drives. The verse "seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these others things shall be added unto you" sums up the priority list pretty well.
In this verse we find a "hidden" promise and progression that is the "key" to true fulfillment, " seek God and you will find Him, along with yourself and your Divine purpose".
Those who find true "victory" don't accept the "world's" version that was handed down to them, but first, become true seekers of God.

A Letter From God --- July 2006
Do you ever wish that God would just write you a letter to tell you what He wants? Well, if God ever wrote me a letter it could go something like this.
Dear Son,
It's almost time. The chariot of fire and the horsemen of Israel will soon be coming for you. Perhaps you can hear their hoof beats pounding. I will not tell you how much longer you have left ,but trust me, the time is short.
I am writing because I want you to stop and take a look at your life. I want you to make changes based on a new commitment to My larger purposes for your life and the world - while you still have time.
I am going to give you some things to think about. Don't rush, give yourself time. You have wanted success. Success is elusive, isn't it? That's because you have been living by your own ideas. I do want you to be successful, but on my terms, not yours. Listen to Me! Success in ANYTHING is not a result of mans effort, but is a direct result of My blessing.
You measure success in the quantity of your possessions and achievements. I measure success in the quantity of your character and conduct. You are interested in the success of a goal, I am interested in the success of your soul.
Do you still love the world, My son? Most do. Have you become caught up in the affairs of the world? Most are. What will it profit you to gain the whole world yet lose your soul?
Men pursue me out of priority, and pain. It's amazing how pressures and pain refocuses priorities. From now on, try to make decisions based on your priorities and not your pressures, okay.
He is successful who is found faithful to do the will of God. Are you seeking to know and do my will? Or are you succeeding in a way that doesn't really matter to me?
I created you to be significant. You are my crowning achievement. I was at my very best when I made you. Do you understand and believe what I just said?
On the other hand, you must recognize your insignificance. Man is a mere vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes. He is like spilled water on the ground. In the kingdom of Heaven, you are a little lower than the angels, but in the whole universe you are but a tiny speck.
Have you been guilty of thinking more highly of yourself than you should? If you think to highly of yourself, you will lose your humility and brokenness before Me and think that there is nothing you can't do on your own. Are you a humble or proud man? Answer carefully. Or if you think to little of yourself, you will not love yourself and your neighbors. You will be afraid to try something bold. At the end of their lives, most will wish they had been more bold. Do you need to be more bold for Me?
In this world you will have troubles and pain, but remember, through Christ Jesus I have overcome the world. Even though the whole world is a prisoner of sin, you My son, do not have to be.
Does sin have a strangle hold on you? Are you walking in your flesh or My Spirit? You will always have the flesh, but you can also have My Spirit. It will be your choice, but ask Me and I will help.
The enemy, My son is death but death can have NO dominion over you and sin will be swallowed up by VICTORY if you put your faith in My son Jesus. In Him is life if you accept that His innocent blood was shed for YOU and that by surrendering to Him in faith you are saved..
Have you given yourself completely to My son Jesus the best you know how? Do you have any area you are unwilling to yield? Ask and I will help.
Because I have not completely crushed satan, there will be pain and sufferings. I allow the same suffering to strike the believer and unbeliever alike. You see, when the walk is hard, they turn to Me. I realize that this pain may leave you wounded. Where do you need to be healed? Where is your wound? Call on Me in your time of trouble and I will help you.
Remember this: satan is a defeated foe. Yes, He roars around like a hungry lion, but My Son beat him, making a public spectacle of all demonic powers, having nailed them to His Cross. Greater am I in you than the devil who is in the world. Pray to be delivered daily from evil. Remember that satan is not going to give up on you. Are you giving satan to much credit or not enough? Have any of your strengths become your weaknesses?
By the way, no matter how sincerely you pledge new obedience to Me, you will still stumble everyday. I am quick to restore you to the right relationship with Me. How quick are you to ask? Do this daily! Don't let things build up between us. Be humble about this and accept it. Do you need Me to forgive you? Confess, repent, and I will restore.
The biggest problem I see in your life is that you have spent it looking for something worth living for. It would be better if you found something worth dying for. What is the cause you are willing to die for? Better still, WHO are you willing to die for?
I want you to know me, My son. I want you to spend time with me every day. Forget the idea of a daily quiet time. I want to be with you all the time. Pray without ceasing! Are you spending enough time with Me so that we become really close?
You have always craved recognition. You have wanted to be remembered. There are three places to be remembered - in the record books, in the history books, or in the Lamb's Book Of Life. Are you flirting with fame at the risk of eternal life with Me?
Your main flaw, son, has been preoccupation with self. Are you preoccupied with finding personal fulfillment? Don't feel bad, most do the same. During this period of self-examination, I want you to reflect on the larger reasons why I put you where I do.
I need people who will witness for Me among the idols of the world. Go into the areana I have given you and be faithful there. Use your skill, cling to your integrity, and whatever you do, don't be ashamed to tell others about Me!
I am looking forward to having you here with Me. I will give you a new country, a new capital city, a new home and a new body. We do things different here. There are NO tears. No death or pain. You will join with the saints of all ages. All will be people from every tribe, language, and nation. ALL purchased by the Blood of the Lamb.
My son, please think on My words. The time is running out and I don't want to lose you. And what I can give you; you will never be in need again. I love you and I will see you soon. Sincerely,
Your Heavenly Father
