Our Curriculums

Our Curriculum is very diverse, in that we offer our students a very broad range of styles and systems to choose from. We do this in the hopes of making our students more complete and well  rounded Martial Artists

Students and enthusiasts of martial arts have many reasons for their interest in the martial arts. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives, while still others are concerned about safety and personal protection.

Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, or you are looking to add important life saving personal defense skill sets to your life, Progressive Martial Arts Training Systems offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well.

Our Founder and Senior Chief of all Instruction has put together such a fun, always challegeing curriculum that you will never get bored with and you will never stop growing because of it!

"It's a little tough for the traditional martial artists to swallow, because one system doesn't do it. You've got to cross-train in many different systems. Actually, the father of mixed martial arts, if you will, was Bruce Lee. If you look at the way Bruce Lee trained, the way he fought, and many of the things he wrote, he said the perfect style was no style. You take a little something from everything. You take the good things from every different discipline, use what works, and you throw the rest away."  ~ Dana White, UFC President

Jeet Kune Do Training Methods

We Are FLORIDA'S Premier

Jeet Kune Do Training Facility!

Taking the concept of using whatever works, Bruce Lee would borrow from many different styles, systems, and training methods in the hopes of making himself a more complete fighter. This was the first organized Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) system!

Students are taught how to easily FLOW from kicking, into punching, into trapping, to ground fighting. Students are able to enhance their attributes such as coordination, timing, speed, endurance and agility, as well as learning how to effectively defend themselves in a REAL attack. They will receive all this using the innovated training methods developed by Sijo Bruce Lee and Sifu Dan Inosanto.

Sifu Brown has developed an amazing progressive curriculum that is both fun and highly effective!

Maglahok KALI

The Filipino Martial Arts

The Filipino Martial Arts are extremely diverse in that they teach skills in every area of Combat.

Drills and Techniques are taught in a fluid, non-restrictive manner to enhance the students natural attributes and improve their sense of timing, speed, awareness, agility, and confidence.

The weapon is taught first and once the student starts to develop ease of movement and flow, the empty hand skills of the FMA will be introduced.

Obtaining the ability to flow in Combat is the ultimate goal. The student attempts to smoothly move between the ranges without any disturbance in the transition.

This requires skills in all the ranges, with and without weapons. The ability to group motion together continuously, and the sensitivity to fit the techniques to that of the opponents will be learned.

These attributes create a smoothness in Combat which is called the Flow.

The FMA also teach the student how everyday objects such as umbrellas, canes, flashlights, etc., can become effective tools for Self-Defense.

Guro Brown's love for the Filipino Martial Arts is well known worldwide! His training videos on this subject have sold around the globe. He has students teaching his unique system all through the USA and Europe! Maglahok KALI is also being featured in a European movie in 2020!

This is truly a Un-Surpassed Curriculum he has put together for his students.

Striking To Takedowns To Submissions

Shooto - Catch As Catch Can - Judo -  Dumog - Japaneese Ju-Jitsu - Boxing - Muay Thai

Most fighters panic once they are lured outside of there environment or "comfort zone" in which they have been trained. To allow that "lure" to become a tool, we must become Complete Martial Artists, able to fight in ALL RANGES.

Borrowing from many different ground fighting systems and striking systems, students are taught how to not only execute offensive techniques but also how to defend against their opponents attacks.

Students will learn how to read their opponents intentions and put a stop to them so that they are able to quickly get back to their feet.

Top Notch, Ahead Of The Game Striking is taught along with throws, takedowns, submissions, and body control/positioning.

Learning what to do if we find ourselves fighting from the ground is an important step in becoming a well-rounded Martial Artist.

Guro Brown was one of the early ones in the area too see the importance of training the ground, starting with Judo in 1994.

This program is a testament to his 30+ years as a Martial Artist! He has put together a curriculum that is not only highly effective in the ring and cage but in his eyes most importantly, on the street!
